Quiet IS The New Loud!
One of our most anticipated albums of 2009 is the new effort from Norway's Kings Of Convenience. It's been 4 and 1/2 years since Riot On An Empty Street and well over a year since we first got wind of the new album.
Word is that they are in the studio putting the finishing touches on it, though no official release date has been announced. The working title resurrects their 2001 Album Quiet Is The New Loud... which became the music equivalent of "Black. It's The New Brown". This time around, the rumor is they want to call it Quiet IS The New Loud but we hope that they have a change of heart as this will drive editors, critics, google searchers, and a million other people CRAZY.
Until the 12 new tracks are released, here are two-fer Tuesdays two great Kings of Convenience remixes.
•The first is a remix of the Cornelius track "Drop". (Cornelius is Japan's answer to Stereolab. Download Here
•The second is from the surprisingly good 2001 album Versus, featuring remixes of Quiet Is The New Loud. Listen here/Download below.
