Is it OK if we have a global "No Cut Copy Week"?

Don't get me wrong, we love Cut Copy but they have been blogged and remixed within an inch of their lives and I am starting to smell overkill. Let's give the lads from Melbourne a rest, lest we raise them so high up on that musical pedestal that they teeter and fall if their next effort should come up just a little short. Clap your hands and say yeah if you know what I am talking about.

During this little moratorium, it's perfectly fine to dance and sway just a little bit slower to the sounds of Sweden's Shout Out Louds. We'll even throw in an extra remix  of "Impossible" so you feel safe and loved. Plus, the SOL's are taking a break for awhile in the wake of their own mini rise to stardom... each traveling and doing their own thing so they don't get stale. Smart.

In fact, lead singer Adam Olenius is in Cut Copy's home town of Melbourne right now, leading up to a show on November 28th. There's great irony hidden in there somewhere.
