Carla Bruni's third album came out yesterday in the states an it's another testament to her restrained control as a singer. The album has only one song sung in English but it doesn't really matter, it's her hushed yet husky voice that grabs your attention. There is no doubt she is singing about love and lust.

The album, entitled Comme si de rien n'tait which means "As If Nothing Had Happened" is actually rather humorous given just how much HAS happened to Ms. Bruni over the past year...She's graced the cover of Vanity Fair, been interviewed by Barbara Walters and oh yea, she married the President of France. As the First Lady, she is setting a new standard for women who just happen to be married to very prominent, powerful men; by continuing to do exactly what she loves doing and by doing it very, very well.

The album is #1 in France and I know it will get me through the winter in fine stead. Sexy, sultry, and ooh la la- so very internationale! This song, which translates to "Your Are My Drug" or "You Are My Fix" is a stunner.
