Chicago X 12

It always freaks me out when serendipity takes over my Song Of The Day. I was pressed for time, scurrying to make it to Savannah's monthly GreenDrinks event -which focuses on making Savannah a greener place- while enjoying a cocktail or two.

At the same time, I was frantically packing for my trip to San Francisco in the morning to attend The Bandwidth Conference on Digital Music. So, hmmm, looking to do a post on either something environmental or on one of my favorite San Francisco bands, Rogue Wave, when I stumble on this:

Clif GreenNotes: Protect The Places We Play is a benefit album that came out a few weeks ago from the makers of Clif organic energy bars to provide support for bands who want to make their tours as Green as possible and wouldn't you know it, my favorite Rogue Wave song is on the album.

Who says there is no grand design? Phooey.

Support the cause and download the album- there are lots of great artists on it like Brett Dennen, Gomez, Michael Franti and John Butler among others... and next time you're in Savannah, check out GreenDrinks or better yet, start one in your own community!
