Dutch Rockers Finally Rock!
Amsterdam alt rock trio Bettie Serveert have turned the dial way up on their new album Pharmacy Of Love which releases in the U.S. on 1/26/10. I've already been listening to it nonstop (you can to- Lala.com already has the mp3 version of the album up and loaded).
The band's been at it since 1992-this is their 9th album-and yet they remain well below the radar. Yes, they've had lots of ups and downs and I haven't loved everything they've put out but what I've liked, I've LOVED.
It's been 4 years since they released the mellow, paired down Bare Stripped Naked so I was excited to hear what they've been up to. Making some noise is what they've been up to. This album might be their loudest effort yet but not in an off-putting way. More like the rockier side of early Rilo Kiley... which you can really hear on this title track.
I am really digging the drums on this song...
