What The Heck Is A Katzenjammer, You Ask?


So, it goes a little something like this...

  1. Jen's friend Brian put this band on his 2009 SXSW mixtape.
  2. Jen plays mixtape for me a few weeks ago.
  3. I go ga ga over this song: spaghetti western/irish celtic/polka/hootenany fun.
  4. Jen tracks down playlist. It's a band called Katzenjammer.
  5. I do research. They're an all female quartet from Norway. Lots of trumpet. One of them plays an upright bass with a huge cat face on it. They opened the Norwegian Grammys. They have an album called Le Pop that hasn't been released yet in the U.S... but this single has.


That's all we know. It might be all we need to know. Katzenjammer has arrived. Now do your Polka!
