When Ten Year Olds Rule The World
Today's song of the day comes from my 10 year old nephew who is visiting from Boulder, Colorado. Owen got our family music gene- he's been wearing Ramones T Shirts and rocking out since he was about 3.
When I asked if he had any song recommendations for Song Of The Day, his first thought was something by 3OH!3 who hail from Boulder but then he settled on this pick, the latest from Miami based hip-hop sensation Pitbulll. When I asked him what it was he liked about Pitbull, he had this to say:
Actually, I'm just glad that there's another hispanic hip-hop type dance sensation other than Shakira. I mean, I like Shakira but she's just weird and I'm kinda tired of her.
There you have it. Turns out I know nothing. This song peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and now sits at #8.
