4th of July

X, the seminal Los Angeles punk band gives us one great big song to love as we head into the 4th of July weekend here in the good old U.S. of A.

This one's from way back in 1987, late in the 3rd quarter of the band's career. Even though Dave Alvin had officially left the band by the time this record came out, he wrote this song, plays on it and it's his crooning, flat voice that gives it that distinctly country punk sound.

Big fun for a big weekend. Turn it up, flip some burgers, have a cold one!

We're outta here...
