Listen To The Darkside

It's A Summertime Thing.


Charlie Mars hails from Laurel, Mississippi and has toiled in relative obscurity since his 1996 debut album. That's all about to change with the release of his fifth record, Like A Bird, Like A Plane.

The lead single is already getting some nice radio airplay and it's breezy summertime feel recalls a lazier John Mayer mixed with a little Jack Johnson. It's the kind of track that's likably mainstream without being tooooo syrupy...and hey, any song that invites a girl to come over and get high and listen to Dark Side Of The Moon by Pink Floyd is gonna get some attention.

I predict we'll all be singing this chorus well into September.
