Technology Trumps Nothing.
Summer has officially started and my house is filled with the sound of friends, laughter, the smell of food cooking and the constant click,click,click of technology? Yep. I am going to need to upgrade my home to 4G if this keeps up. Blackberry's, iPhones, Laptops, Digital cameras, etc. have taken over my dining room... and I am also guilty as charged.
We were just talking about Oprah's recent experiment where a family was deprived of all technology for two weeks and what did they do? They talked to each other. Yikes! Could we all do it? Of course we could if we had to... and yet we don't.
It's a beautiful day out here on Long Island and with that, I am shutting down all technology, heading out for a long bike ride and coming back to make some lobster salad! I am missing the ancient commonsense of things.
